Music Tells A Story

Music has the power to transport us to another time and place. Gareth Asher loves to harness that power with a broad audience of fellow music lovers and passionate musicians alike.

Gareth Asher and the Earthlings are an Atlanta, Georgia-based country and folk rock band formed by Georgia-born singer-songwriter and guitarist Gareth Asher in 2011, initially under the name Gareth Asher and the Infantry. Asher is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist and son of musical parents.

Swearingen & Kelli

Nashville based duo, Swearingen & Kelli, return to The Evening Muse with their third release, Cold-Hearted Truth. The new album has been featured on Cowboys and Indians, Americana Highways and Red Line Roots who said "they’ve made something all their own with their own signature approach, and it’s one that others would do well to emulate down the road."

Recorded in a series of live takes with Grammy Award-winning producer Mitch Dane, Cold-Hearted Truth is a collaboratively-written album rooted in honesty. The songs draw inspiration from the bandmates' personal lives and family histories, spinning stories about coal mine towns, southern nights, humble beginnings, and romance. They also shine a light on Swearingen & Kelli's raw, onstage chemistry, sharpened over the years via a long string of shows in symphony halls, opera houses, living rooms, and clubs.

Swearingen & Kelli have shared the stage with artists from David Bromberg to Crystal Gayle. Swearingen's song "You're Not Here With Me" was recorded by folk icon Tom Rush featuring Nanci Griffith on his album, What I Know.
